Can you believe it’s June already? Wow…surely the fastest Spring ever. With the end of May comes a close to my May Dog Pottery Giveaway. And the winner of last month’s prize is Wendy S. Congratulations to Wendy!!!! She will be receiving her dog breed sugar bowl as soon as I hear which breed she would like.

This month I’m giving away something different, something that’s not yet available on my website. It is a 7″ dog breed plate and has all of the features and benefits of my other pottery – it’s made of durable stoneware and so is dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe. It has hand-painted blue and golden yellow bands around the rim and my floral dog design in the center, made and decorated with non-toxic, food-safe materials. And all of the work is done by my hands, in my studio, in Eureka, CA.
I will be adding plates to my website over the month and wanted to give you a little sneak peak by way of this giveaway. I have been selling my plates on the sly for a couple years now. Someone way back asked for plates so I started making them. Then sales happened by word of mouth and I just never got around to adding them to my website.
The winner will be chosen at random and will be able to have their plate decorated with one of my available dog breed designs. Sharing the contest through the means provided after you enter, increases your entries in the contest and thus increases your chances of winning.

Hello! My December Dog Pottery Giveway is up and running. It ends December 31st, so the prize will not arrive to the winner in time for Christmas, but it will make a nice little gift for after the Holidays.
I will be giving away a dog breed sugar bowl and dog breed creamer this month. These are great items to use for their intended purposes but are also fun ways to store useful objects like cotton balls, cotton swabs, make-up brushes, training treats, spare change, etc…

This post fits into the “killing two birds with one stone” kind of post (though I hate the reference to killing birds). I have a new product, dog breed Christmas ornaments, that I’ve listed on my website. In honor of this occasion, I will be giving away an ornament as the prize for this month’s giveaway.
Some of my customers are familiar with the ornaments from my Etsy shop (where I tested the ornaments out), and from special requests. Until now I haven’t made them readily available. But now I’m in ornament-making-mode and they are listed on my website and available for all of my dog breed designs. There may be some glitches with my ornament listings, which seem to happen when I add a new product. Please forgive them and, by all means, let me know if you experience any problems using my website.

Each dog breed sugar bowl and creamer is made here in my studio in small batches and with plenty of love. It’s still fun, after all these years, to open the kiln after a firing and see the many dogs staring up at me.

I’ve been wanting to add Miniature Pinschers for a while but when I got a request through the Shepherds Grove Website, I knew it was time. And now that I’ve put this out to the Universe and written it here, the work will get done.
If you’re a Minpin lover, I highly recommend you take a look at @verpinscht on Instagram. They’re out of Germany and the pictures are inspired.
I’m shooting for finishing the Minpin design by mid March. It’s not that the design will take me that long, but there’s a bunch of other pottery related tasks to accomplish at the same time. But the excitement of adding a new design is very motivating because I can already imagine a Miniature Pinscher staring back at me from one of my dog breed mugs.

My February Dog Pottery Giveaway is Live!
This month I’ll be giving away a cute dog breed dipping bowl and dog wine stopper (similar to the items shown above). The dipping bowl is perfect for serving olive oil and spreads, as well as holding a tea bag or your rings and jewelry. And the wine stopper will very obediently watch over your favorite wine. Keep them for yourself, or gift them to the dog lover in your live. The winner will choose from over 40 dog breeds.
The dog breed pottery giveaway runs through the 28th, so you have a good amount of time to get your entries in. Once you enter, you’ll be given the opportunity to share the contest and this will give you more entries. The more you share, the more entries you get.
